OT: No auctions for me any more!
JONESBORO, Ark. – A car being driven to the auction block went out of control and plowed into spectators, injuring nearly two dozen people, three critically, authorities said yesterday.
An auction employee was driving the 1996 KIA Sephia on Friday night when it went out of control, said Keith Campbell, general manager of the Jonesboro Auto Auction, who said he was in his office at the time and did not see the accident.
"We don't know why or what happened," he said.
Twenty-two people were believe injured; three adults were in critical condition yesterday. At least 15 people treated at hospitals were released yesterday afternoon. A hospital spokesman said injuries consisted primarily of fractured bones and lacerations.
Auction company employee Rob Brewer said the vehicle struck the corner of a grandstand and "knocked it around." The car then struck a number of people before crashing into a wall and coming to rest.

My question would be why would anybody go to an auction that listed Kia's? I thought those cars were like disposable razors.
Yes they ARE! But everything has to have an enthusiast. It's just that some of them need to get a life!! :hat :blueangel:
Now as to why sombody (presumably more than one) would/should/could enjoy a KIA show that is out of my imagination realm. Can't project that far!
