Installing Throwout Bearing on Clutch Fork
Removed my tranny today to install an adjustable pivot ball......got a new throwout bearing but didn't pay attention to how it was attached to fork. Does someone remember? I'm sure I have some paper somewhere that tells me how to do it right, but I have no idea where. It's a Centerforce Dual Friction clutch with the recommended throwout bearing. Please could someone inform me how the throwout bearing attaches/clips to the clutch fork?

The bearing slides over both the fork ears and the metal springs. Everything inside the bearing groove.
Hope this helps.

Yes, it all slides into the groove. Fork and clip.
DON'T put the fork in the groove and the clip on the other side of the flange.
This advice from one who had to remove a tranny again because of this.

Thanks a lot guys. I must have done it right last time because the old bearing looks just fine.
OK, I'm not going to clip anything to anything; just slide the end of the fork assembly(the whole thing including clips) into the groove.
