Whatever you get, make sure it has an advance adjustment. So you can do the Lars thing. I got a Craftsman adjustable on ebay for $35.

I like this one (equus 3568):
It has an advance and shows the engine RPM, very convenient.

I really like my Digital Equuis timing light for its digital readout, built in tachometer, and adjustable advance feature. I cost me about $100.

I really like my Craftsman adjustable, but that Equus is pretty cool looking, especially the built in tach.

Flaming river timing lights are available at Jegs & Summit. I am not a big fan of the "setback" timing lights BUT my balancers are degreed and all I care about is total advance. ...redvetracr

:iagree: Craftsman adjustable is the same one I have. It works great, and the adjustability is such a nice option to have when trouble shooting.
