Default eBay buy of the year.....

A set of NOS lug nuts, twenty of them, only $200.

But they are for the Alumn wheels that were introduced in '73 (and just as quickly withdrawn). Only four sets of those sold per the Black Book.

Rare? Yes. Anyone have a use for them? Maybe one of those 4 cars, if they still exist. :D

I thought no one knew for sure if those cars were produced with aluminum wheels or not. Is there any official documentation?

If they are the real thing(?), once you get them out of the packages there are no numbers on them. What's the point?

At least magazines tested -73's with alu wheels. Don't know what happened to those cars / wheels afterwards... But anyway, check out the magazines from that era! There is couple of those articles in Corvette Gold Portfolio 1968-1977 book where you can clearly see alu wheels in -73! Does anybody know what usually happened to these cars after magazines tested them?

In general those were preproduction test mules and photo op cars and not intended for sale to the public. If any ever made it into the public hands they would have had those wheels removed.

I'm confused. Has anyone cross referenced the P/N? Are these really 1973 only lugs?

If I write "1963" on my 1979 Corvette with a black felt-tip marker, does that mean I now have a split-window coupe?

Let me know because I'm heading out to the garage now with a "L-88" stencil for my valve covers on my 350 and a "Z06" emblem for my fenders.

Wow, what a find, and at a real bargain too!

I hope I am the winning bidder, because I will need them for the rally's I chose to purchase for my up and coming NCRS evaluation in March. No worry, I am sure someone will see that they are, indeed, correct.

Does anyone here think it might be to much (over the top) with these lug's and the derby caps, or maybe I should just show the lug's and leave the caps at home that day? :lolg: :lolg: :lolg: :lolg: :lolg: :lolg: :lolg: :lolg: :lolg:  :D

The P/N for the '73 Alum wheel lug nuts is 329383 (per the 73 AIM) which is the number show on the boxes. The 73 lug nut was unique with a recessed design on the top. Later wheels had smooth top lug nuts. So it IS a rear item. But only 4 cars has the potental to use them. Other than that they would make a unique paper weight.
