I have a chance to buy a fair conditioned 1974 vert. Car is matching numbers and the mileage is 125k. car has working A/C, tele-tilt, a nice after market stero system and a th400 auto. A new black top. Has P/S P/B. Interior is black std and exterior is silver. Runs good and drives fair-a little twichy. Stainless brakes. The interior is in about 7 condition an the exterior is a 2 because the paint is really bad, a really botched repaint. The front a rear bumpers a brand new flex glass that havent been painted yet. I am aware of the curse of the 4's. I will look around on ebay to get a feel for the market on this year model. Thanks for any thoughts. Thad

Given your description, it needs a paint job, maybe front & rear bushings and rebuild. Then you've got an AC vert w/matching numbers. To me, it's worth up to about $10k if the body itself is straight and unhit and the frame is very solid. I'd do the body work myself and have it painted for about $1k, and do the suspension myself too.

Then again, I'm a sucker for resurrecting silver Corvettes :D

I bought mine last year for 8k numbers matching interior in great shape a about a 7 on the paint job, and 70K.

Its all about what you want.
