Try using a hair blow dryer. For some adhesives, the heat softens it enough to make the substance more pliable.

Just make sure that the Gorilla is sedated first or you're in big trouble. :lolg: :lolg:

Otherwise, try a hair dryer to soften and peel off as much as possible before using any type of solvent (3M is excellent by the way). If you just use solvent on big blobs you'll smear it all over the palce and have a real mess.

i called 3M tech today and the guy gave me a part # for a product of theirs that will "rejuvinate" gorilla snot...hense it will soften it to remove it...
as he put it...it is made for when you are using snot to apply new weatherstripping and let it set too long...you just rub it with this stuff and it "brings it back" to a useable consistancy...hense it will soften it...
i dont have the 3M part # with me...i left it at the shop...
if anyone wants to know what it is just let me know and i will retrieve it and post it here...
thanx for your help...
i will let you know how well it works when i get some...

Yes, the 3M adhesive remover will work if it's "old and hard" - I have used it on precisely that and I was very happy with the results.

I think everyone is referring to 3M Adhesive Remover. It comes in quart cans and was about $33. You can get it at any NAPA store. It will not eat into modern auto paints. Jerry
