My car got a little smashed up today
My car got some damage in the rear bumper and rear right fender today. It looks like a new bumper and some minor fiberglass work should fix it. My only real concerns are that the gas cap is about a 1/4 inch to the left of the center, and when I open and close the left door the window hits the plate where the T-Top pin goes into the roof. Does this mean that I have a bent frame, or could it be bad body mounts and a loose gas tank?

:cry What'd you do to it?
I'd be worried about frame damage too based on the description. :(

I had a truck that was bumped on the right rear corner and threw the whole car out of alighnment. The doors, hood, and tailgate wouldn't close properly and the wheel alighnment was beyond repair. The frame obsorbed all the damage and the truck had to be totaled. This was all from a 10mph parking lott fender bender.
Trucks and vettes are very different but if you hit them just right.... Well, I hope you have something easy to fix.

Someone pulled in front of me and then slammed on their brakes. I didn't have room to stop so I went onto the shoulder and my brakes locked up and I slid into a cement wall.

Here's some pictures. I didn't see any dents in the frame, and the car is still driving straight so I think it should be alright.
The exhaust pipe used to be pointing to the right
Not quite centered, but there aren't any leaks
It's rubbing on the spot that is gray, I think I can re-adjust the window to fix it though.
It looks like this colapsable piece took most of the impact and then went back to it's original position
Here's my temporary fix

From memory the fuel tank is retained by straps so a hit from the side like yours could simply have shifted the tank slightly. Go under the car, loosen the straps and u may be able to slip it back to the right location.
It looks more like a tank movement than a frame one.
