Default Seat options other than redoing originals

I know that this topic has been done before, but I figured that I'd bring it up again.

My seat foams are junk (turning to dust) so one way or another, I need to do something.

I figure that the seat foams are between $120-200 depending on where they are from. Is there a difference between companies?

Is this something that I can do?

What are the other inexpensive alternatives? I'd love to get some C4 or C5 seats, but they are way too expensive. The Recaros are nice too, but again too much. Anyone have any experience with Matrix seats?

I want to make sure that the seats fold forward, fit well and are more comfortable than the stock ones if I get new ones.

Any and all info appreciated.

Thanks

I like those too, but I don't see many for sale. :(

Many of them that are for sale need work too.

Check in on E-Bay every once in awhile. But expect to pay some $$$ for seats in very good condition.

I just went through the same issue. I decided to upgrade to a more comfortable seat. I purchase a nice pair of complete leather seats out of a 79 vette. They bolted right in. What a difference. If you spend some time surfing the web, you sould be able to find a nice pair of newer C3 seats in great shape. It will cost less that purchasing everything for yours and then haveing to pay to have them recovered.
