I thought my car had the original valve covers on it but when I pulled them off today, no drippers. I am assuming they have been replaced. Am I correct?

If so, there is no use in re-chroming them. I will just buy another set of the replacements.

However, Zips, Corvette Central etc. only has the replacements that have the Power Brake Booster dimple. Didn't none power brake cars have non dimpled valve covers?

If I am correct, where can I get some of those?

I have never seen a BB car with power brakes and not having the "dimpled valve covers". If you look closely it is needed to clear the booster. Any of the vette vendors have the correct ones to use.

The power brake slant was used on all BB's through 67-and early 68 regardless of the power brake option. Late 68's and all 69's and up did not use the slanted corner version though. There are three different covers used on C-3's but only 68's had the slanted version. Check out http://www.cranescorvette.com for a good overview on valve covers.

David, hey bud, hope things are going well with the rebuild.

Crane's is a good resource, I have used them for several items, and they have good repo'd covers.
