'69 Covertible
Bought a '69 conv. as a project car for my huband's 40th. He has restored a number of cars but this will be his first Vette. Is there any book or restoration guide that is a must have for this year? I heard of the book by Rick Bizzoco. Is it worth the $$? Opinions appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I believe Mid-America sell several books for the restoration of C3's. Just give them a call.

Lots of good books. Like Chuck said, the assembly manual is an absolute must, & you can get them pretty cheaply on ebay. I don't know of any '69 specific restoration guides, but I've gotten good use out of Richard Newton's "How to Restore and Modify Your Corvette, 1968-82" & Lindsay Porter's "Chevrolet Corvette Restoration Guide."

Rick Bizzoco's book is entitled "1969 Corvette Stingray Guidebook". It is the only 69 specific book that is out there. Costs about $70.00 and is getting hard to find, as it is out of print. It contains LOTS of very minute details and "running changes". If you get into "ultra-details", it's excellent. :) Chuck

Another book I just thought of that you ought to get is the 1969 GM Chassis Service Manual.
BTW, since Chuck's post, I've been cruising book sites (including out-of-print search sites) on the internet for the Bizzoco book & you can't find a copy of the thing anywhere at any price that I can find.
