Congress just passed my new carb!!!!!!!!!!
Been working the wife for a few months now,and she finally agreed the best thing to do would be to get a new carb. The sizing should be in the 750cfm plus range, but I'm not convinced on the vacuum vs. mechanical secondaries,or even the brand. I'm looking to push 500 hp,and still maintain streetability.I'm running an Edelbrock 1904 now and get 15mpg,and decent performance, but the choke doesn't work, and it's got 120,000 miles on it.
So what carb do the big dogs run with?Any preferences,or regrets?
I hear a lot of leaking Holleys and blown power valve issues.Edelbrock's EPS800 looks good, but I've never known anyone to run it.Maybe the time tested 3310?Who knows?

BTW, I'm more than pleased with my Holley 3310 with the Proform body---no choke or tower though. Just what I wanted.

I really like the idea of using a Predator. Can't find much information though - even on thier own website. Read they like dual planes with cams of <275 duration. Could end up a $500 bad experiement. They advertize very little tuning and up to 930cfm. Can't find a choke on e'm as it would be a big plus for me to eliminate while using my air-gap intake.
