Default Team G intake?

Anybody using an aluminum Team G intake? I have a freind who has one for sale at a great price, but I dont know a thing about them. Good? Bad?

Now that my motor is apart, I'm rethinking what to put back on it.

What number is it? When ever your putting together a motor you have to buy intakes that gasket match the heads. The single plane Team-G's are made for big heads with FelPro 1206 or larger intakes.

I use the Wieand 7532 Air gap single plane. The 7530 is also a 1206 size

Good post gkull...

I wonder how many people really do research before they buy an intake manifold that may or may not work with their heads. I have the Team-G 7530 single plane intake with the Dart 200cc heads, but did not make that purchase until I went through everything that Dart recommended and contacted some of the high performance parts places to confirm it. And I am using the Felpro 1205 intake manifold gaskets with this set-up.

Oops, sorry guys. The intake is the 7525. My heads are the S/R torquers. On just a quick inspection they look like they match up pretty well.

Bgrice - Your 7530 matches and 200 cc 1205? I used to have some hogged out 186 casting Double humps at 1205. I've just never seen the 200cc Dart heads. The big thing is you can never have small heads on a big intake or big intake on small heads.

dlw....

Holley/Weiand make some great intake manifolds for high performance applications. Like gkull suggested... just making sure you have the correct match is what is important. I wouldn't think twice and would buy in a second if I found a good deal on one of their intakes. I ran one on my SuperGas doorslammer a few years ago by the way. It was a BBC 468 13.5:1 motor, but still looking for more horsepower.

The 1205 Felpro gaskets and single plane intake are what Dart suggest with the 200cc heads. Here's the link:
