It's listed as NOM, non original motor. Later on, he lists it as a 350/350. I don't believe any "stock" LT 1 configurations were 350/350. So, I don't know what the engine is. As I recall, LT 1's were 370HP in 1970, and 330HP in 71, and even less in 72. Chuck

The 1970 LT-1 was 350-370. The L-46 was 350-350. No sure if an LT-1 was even offered in 1969??

LT-1s were to have been released in '69, check the owner's manual. Maybe this is a "prototype" that escaped from GM

That's deffinitly no LT-1 :bs , they weren't made in 69 (GM tried to have them in 69 but there was a parts shortage due to the popularity of the Z-28 that year), plus the fact that everything else is wrong, hood, air cleaner, etc. etc.

Boy, you'd think for a car that has a value of "over $34,000" that the "owner/mechanic" could have at least put a coat of Chev. engine orange on the water pump!
Don't have a clue why this is being referred to as an LT-1, although I have run into a couple of people who were under the impression that the 350-350 IS the LT-1. You'd think they would know better than that in this case. :skep:

I would imagine he just does not know better. To some any engine with ribbed aluminum valve covers is an LT-1 or an L-82. The rest of the ad seems pretty honest to me. And it is a pretty car.

There are two LT-1 69's. Both are documented in the 69 Stingray Guidebook by Rick Bizzocco. If I remember right, one was a factory test car and one was a dealer installed option, and neither had LT-1 badging (and I know the blue one had a regular small block hood).

I looked at a '64 vert several months ago and the guy selling the car tried to tell me it had an LT1 motor. :bs It was a 350, but wasn't even a Corvette motor.
