progress on the project, w/pics!
I managed to actually make some progress this morning for a change. I got the tranny all cleaned up, pulled apart the steering knuckles, spindles, tie rod ends and degreased and cleaned up everything. I must have removed about 5 pounds of greasy caked-on crud. Tomorrow the sandblasting begins, then the front end reassembly can start next weekend if all goes well.
Even though I've fought through lots of corrosion and stubborn spots, I am very thankful that the car has been relatively untouched and remains mostly original and un-bubba'd in these areas.

Looks good.

It is a really nice feeling to put the nice newly painted, clean parts back on. I just finished doing my rear suspension, and the motor/tranny and steering will be started this weekend.
