The vette is FINALLY on the ground. :)
3 months of work on the rearend and I finally got her off the jack stands.
New offset trailing arms and all.
Now to finish the fuel line and get on pulling the engine.
I'll post photos this weekend. :)
I'm going to the Ray Borque, Dennis Leary charity hockey game tonight. :D:D
OT but thought that I'd share.

Lets see pics!! I need motivation to finish mine!
What do you have in store for the engine? TPI and the vintage air?
It is nice to feel done with a project like that. Are you gonna drive it before you start taking it all apart again?

I'm planning on pulling the dash first for the following reasons:
1. I need a replacement return spring for the brake pedal
2. I have to replace the tach with an electric one
3. I have a leaking evaporator core
4. Need a new wiring harness for the engine and AC
So I figured... if I needed a new AC and engine wiring harness anyway, add that to the evaporator core and I am part of the way to Vintage air and TPI. ;)
The engine will hopefully be out in a week or two (just got the engine stand).
Then clean up the bay, seriously insulate the firewall, add the vintage air etc...
New cam, headers, new exhaust, TPI after painting everything.... then put it all back together, hope that it starts and runs OK on the preliminary chip. Get a 4 wheel alignment, reprogram the chip.
I have grand aspirations of getting this all done for the summer. I'll be bribing a lot of local vette guys for help with beer once the engine is out. :D:D
I'm taking a ton of photos, so I'll keep everyone up to date.
A ton of thanks to patsnitrovette for all of his help on decision making. :)
His engine is what really inspired me, although I am sure it will not be quite the screamer his is (or have the cool blue paint ;))
