My car runs fine on Kwik Fill 93 octane. I haven't tried 89 octane with my compression ratio because I believe I would probably run into detonation problems.

I try to stick with ExxomMobil or Chevron. My car seems to do its best on of of those. My everyday vehicle gets the Circle K cheap stuff.

I have been using Shell 93. I use to like Amoco Ultimate, but the local station is old and sorta hard to get to for me.

where are you guys getting this 91+ octane gas? there is only 91 at gas stations unless you want to go down to a race shop or something and buy higher octane....

Don't travel much? :p: All we have around here is 91 too, but east coast I saw alot of 92-93 there was actually a 10 cent difference between 92 and 93 at one gas station I was at! regular works for my pretty stock '77...for now.

Mobil, because its the only place around here. As of today its 1.96 per gallon. I do not use much gas because the vette does not go to far from home. :auto:

All I've ever seen around here is regular (87 octane), mid-grade (89 octane), and premium (93 octane). I've also heard that a station 1 town away has 94 octane. I prefer Mobil for my gas

Low octane west coast, high octane east cost.
Generally use cheapest 91 octane ($1.75 at last fill up). That is mixed, however with Unocal 76 100 octane race fuel ($4.29 at last fill up)

Re: My car's Favorite hangout (Alwyn678)
We should get a nationwide gas strike going. Just refuse to buy from one company until they drop their prices. This is getting pretty outrages. My daily driver doesn't even get 15mpg. I really need to go through it. It used to get 28mpg on the highway. Now I'd be lucky to get 18.
