Default 200R4 in a 79?

Hi, I was wondering if the transmission (200R4) will bolt up to the 350 in my 79? will the bellhousing holes need to be redrilled? thanks for the help!

I believe that the 2004R has multiple bolt patterns to fit Chevrolet as well as Buick-Oldsmobile-Pontiac engines. The TH700 is probably for Chevy engines only.

It's a direct bolt-in job, both in the front and the back. Stock crossmember and driveshaft work fine.

But don't worry, there's lots of other "gotchas" to worry about! Save a lot of heartburn and buy the TV Made EZ kit from Bowtie.

The 200R4 also came in MC SS besides GN.
