Default Got an original L-88 Hood, but my latch doesn't fit now.

I'm about to scream. I now have an original L-88 hood. It's either 68 or 69 Hood. My passenger side latch doesn't fit it. I think my previous hoods were 70's hoods. The question now is what passenger side latch do I need? I see a 68-69 latch and a 69-76 latch. I assume this hood needs a 68-69 latch? Does anyone know for sure?

Steve,
I wish I could help you. Are you saying that the latch doesn't bolt to the hood now due to a different design? I'm having trouble picturing this. If all else fails, maybe someone in the NCRS related section will have an answer for you. Hang in there- I'm sure there's a fix.

Steve,

I believe that is (68-early 69) and (late 69-76), you must have the 68-E69 version and your car is L69? Can you take a pic that would help to describe it? , Paul Borowski chime in here.... I have a L69.

There are 2 different styles of pins used, Early and Late. The early 68-early 69 style is tapered, the later style is the "TeePee" style used from mid 69 and on. Could be that you have a "mismatch" of pins and latches. Chuck

Well, my latch doesn't even bolt up to the hood, so I guess that means I need the early latch.

So I need different pins too? ugh...
