My new engine arrived today (ZZ4) and the only paperwork that came with it was paperwork to return a core. Did anyone receive any other paperwork?

When I received my ZZ4, there was no paperwork either. Contacted the GM dealer about my warranty, was told "dont worry about it" they know who has the ZZ4, any problems just call.........Well, 3K on engine and no problems, will be a year in March. I know this isnt what you were looking for, but thats my story. :nopity

I got two pages of specs and how to set it up (timing and so on)

as far as the motor i got it in 1999 and i drive the heck out of it 700 or 800 miles every other weekend going for one house to the other. and 2000 to 3000 mile trips each year. people always ask on here about rpms and what a motor can take well the trip are with the rpms run around 3500 with some 5000 sprints here and there. i have heard some people get dyno paperwork with the zz4 not me

Don't recall getting much paperwork with mine. I went on the website to get the break in proceedure, and timing settings.

Core? :confused:

I didn't have to send a core in? Have they changed this?

I think I got one page other than the receipt. Nothing about the warranty, when I contacted GM they said no paperwork other than my receipt was required. However, I haven't had to use the warranty yet. :thumbs:

If I remember right I just got some warrenty info and a little pamphlet about GM performance parts with mine. Oh, and some stickers for extra horsepower.

Mike69 got some installation and operating instructions with his. I got a copy from him. I don't have it here with me, but it seems like it was 20 or 30 pages. It included things like recommended carbs, etc.

I got the core paperwork and a tag that was attached to the intake that had ZZ4 stamped on it. Thats it.
