GOING TO THE PAINTERS . NEED PAINT CODE HELP
I need to make sure they paint it the red that came on the 1980 vettes
i looked on the door jam and found a tag dose 83L mean the paint code?

my book says that the paint code for 1980 red is 83. not sure what the "L" means. sorry if that isn't helpful

The "L" stands for "LOWER". The '81 & '82 Two tone cars will have a "U"(upper color code)and "L" for lower color code.

thats true but he said 80... that and the 81 and 82's didn't have a two tone red. (so my book tells me anyway :lol: )

'81 and '82s did have that Red over Dark Red two tone combo.
