Just curious about your Vette
How many members have finished their vette? I mean, to the point where you have NO PLANS to do anything else to it? I'm just starting mine and wonder how long it will take to get to that point. I imagine quite a while. But that's OK. :flag

If you really enjoy your vet you never finish. Never. I have been working on mine for 13 or 14 years and keep comming up with things I want to do.

I keep my "list" in my signature so I don't forget what to do next!

Never finished. I have finished it about 12 times already. This forum has given me to many ideas for new stuff. I have had it 10 years and done a body off on the car and it still is not done.

Re: Just curious about your Vette (greatgonzoglenn)
Well, the 'Vette I drive was fully restored by my father, though he got sick of it so gave it to me, could have something to do with my drooling over the car. Ya, after about $10,000 ~ $12,000 in restoration (done professionally) he got sick of it. SO no, I have no plans, but to take care of this awesome piece of machinary, and remain humble in how I got the car. After all, I know I don't deserve the thing, especially when compared to guys like Superfast, Gdh, 1Bad69 Motorhead et. el who broke their back sides getting and restoring their cars. For that I remain humbled.

Dwayne...i think you should remove my name from the list above...the only thing i hurt sometimes is my finger when i am punching in my pin number for my interac card when i am paying for the work that was done to it....i am pretty sure i could do a lot of the work myself, but it would take way too long and i prefer to drive the car than have it sitting in the garage while i work on it...now working on someone else's car is another thing...ready any time wayne...

Since I'm working on an L88 clone in looks with comparable or more power in addition to the normal replacement of 30+yr old parts, the word finish and my vette will never be in the same sentence. Now, when it comes to the word finishline, that is another issue! :D

Mine has so many problems to fix before I even start on the things I want to do, that I fear I will never get it to the point that I would like it to be.
Particularly when I look at the ol' bank balance! :cry
