Arrrrrrrghhh!
Okay, I just finished following vettfixr's guide to restoring old paint (great guide, thanks!!!). I spent all last week compouding and polishing my dull red '77 to a point where I'm not ashamed of the paint anymore. So I'm outside this afternoon, admiring the work- car shinning in the sun - as I am putting on a new air cleaner. Well, some neighborhood kids are out in the street chasing my dog around. Then they start chasing the dog around in my driveway. and then they start chasing my pup around the vette. Yeah, you can guess what happens here- the dog jumps up onto the hood to escape them. Of course, the dog can't really get a good grip on the slick hood and... now I've got me some real nice scratches to go with my shinny car.
sigh.
Where's that buffer?
sigh.
Where's that buffer?

Both the kids and the dog are too cute to shoot. I guess I'm upset that I can't really be upset with either- it just happened.

One or two pumps on an air rifle should sting them enough to keep their distance. :lolg: :lolg:
I knew there was a reason that I don't take kindly to dogs.
At least my kids are trained to respect the vette.
Our dogs could give a crap - and most often do - as in doo-doo.

Actually, there was no way I was going to guess the dog jumped onto the hood of the vette!!! What kind of pup is that? I wish you had a video!! I mean, sorry about the mishap! :( MJ
She's just a mutt, like a mini black lab almost, with white spots on her chest and paws so I named her Oreo. One of two strays that my wife has picked up, not counting me. :-)
Btw- I did see one of these kids standing on top of their mom's Volvo which was parked under their basketball hoop, practicing dunks. Justice served without any action on my part!
