Default Turn signal lever replacement

Yikes, she snapped right off. I got a new one- but do I have to tear apart the whole steering column to replace it?

Thanks!

Take a look on http://www.corvettefaq.com/.

There's some instructions on building a tool to do it without taking the steering column apart.

I've got the same problem. I haven't built the tool yet, though.

Wow! Glad to know that I'm not the only guy out there not using turn signals or high beams... :-)

Thanks!

Sure looks like it! It is really rather easy; I'm almost ashamed that I put it off for so long.

Greg
Do you have cruise? I was thinking that this may make it a little more difficult?

NO, cruise doesnt make any difference. The hardest part is getting a good grip on the stub when you turn it and pull it out. Takes about 30secs.

PS. I found out how to do this AFTER pulling my column down to turn signal level. :banghead:

Does someone have a pic of thiers before you put is in? Mine by looking at it does not look broke. It looks like it just came off the end nub.

Thanks

this looks like a common problem with the c3s because i also have no turn lever it wasnt on when i bought the car so its off to the vette shop for some parts.

It is really a pain in the butt to turn it on when your being followed my a cop and you dont want to make a mistake. :D
