[L88 HOOD] Where can I get one new/used?
I'm desperately seeking an L88 hood for my '75, new or used. If you have one for sell than great, if not, does anyone know where I can get one cheaper than the 550 bucks they want at ecklers?
My L88 hood I had bought was on its way to be shipped to me, flew out of the back of the guys truck and is laying all over the median of some interstate in Ohio. Ya, great phone call to wake up to this morning.

A freind of mine has one, I think it is black. Give him a call @ (519) 938-8498 should be @ $400 - 500 cdn ($240 - 300 US)

That is a good price. Especially if it includes the cold air box.. I got mine at JC Whitney, but I have not bolted it on yet. $459, but it included the cold box. I will not bolt it on till I get my L88 intake poarts to complete the cold-air kit.

kfede1, just checked out jcwhitney, seems like a good last resort for me. How much was shipping from them? With the cold box what else would I need to complete that, to see if that is worth the trouble?

Shipping was $70+ I had a base already that would suffice. If you order from zip, you need the base to hood seal, an inner screen, an outer screen that goes in the hood, a foam element, and a inner screen top. About $75. Most of this stuff could be fabricated, but I did not want to do this, when I have so many projects going on with the car already. The hoods are made by Heritage, but they don’t have a web site. Actually heritage sells direct for $425 and shipping is the same, but they want a boxing (Which they can be talked out of...)

kfede1, you are of great help ya know it? :) Do you have any contact info for Heritage? And by boxing what exactly do you mean? So i know what to talk them out of.

Took a while to dig through my receipts, ut I found it... "Legendary cars and trucks" 215-491-1717. See if you can work a Corvette Forumn discount?? At the minimum, they can omit the boxing charge like they did for me.

I looked at Vanacor, but I could not tell if they included the cold air box. Does anyone know if they do?
