I don't think a HU would fit in that spot, it's pretty small. I've been wanting to do something with that area myself since I'm ditching the AC anyways... I was thinking maybe a 1/2 din EQ or something, but without a lot of custom fab work I don't see a full din fitting.

If someone has done this, I'd love to see the pics and install notes

I don't think you'll be able to do it because there isn't much room behind the plate in that area. Behind the plate are the ducts for the center vent and the defroster. Not much room left for electronics.

Hmm....you know that could work...I think your talking about pulling the two vents on the top part of the console....Easier to reach and very custom looking...I've never seen another one like that, but it sounds cool. I was just behind my dash today doing some work, and there isn't alot of room (other CF member mentioned) I would say though if your planning on getting rid of your AC, shoot you could put a Head Unit, Amp and a subwoofer back there :)

I would say measure, measure, and measure again...it's not one of those things you want to be wrong about :)

Heck, let me know, I'm sure interested...and if you have any other questions email me..

Hey thanks Slix, yours is the one i was referring to. Just one question, how does the faceplate stay put? is it glued or what?
