How do I lubricate sunvisor arm?
My sunvisor has problems with being pulled down. Is there a way I can lubricate it? What should I lube with?
How do I remove to lube it? Thanks in advance.
(I replaced the sunvisor before cuz it was sticking... this is not an option now though!) (...at least, not a desired one.)

remove the screws that hold the visor to the windshield frame. Now the shaft and sleeve will seperate so you can clean and lube them. Simple ;)

I believe it would be similar. They have to work that way.. On mine, the two ends slide out. Clean them up and put some lithium white lube on 'em. You may only have one rod but it will slide apart. They are kinda hard to pull apart when they are stiff. Even when they are lubed, they will seem too stiff untill you put them back on the car. Just a little loose and they will fall down while you are driving.

I did manage to yank it off... required buff tricep action! I can feel it. :) This is funny, considering I do 120 lb tricep pulldowns at the gym every week. Ah well...
White lithium lube... should I use the spray or the goop?
TIA.

Suntan oil for the arms. :smash:
I would probably use the spray on the end, not the whole arm. Remember a little dab with do ya.

If you're serious on the suntan oil... I don't have to drive to the store to get that!!!

Di-electric /silicone grease is good too. . I guess you could use margirine, or butter or vaseline. Anything slippery. Axle lube is too smelly for interior stuff. :D :p: :p:
Sorry, I couln't resist :lolg: :lolg:

I put a very light mist of WD-40 on mine. I didn't want to over-lube them to the poitn where they wouldn't stay up against a wind coming over the windshield.
