I am replacing my driver's side mirror, and thanks to bubba I had to grind out the old stripped screws which held the mirror mount. I have 3/8" rubber grommets that came with the new mounting bracket, however my holes are just a hair too big and they slide out. Since the mirror coming off at speed would not be too fun, what should I use to bond these to the door?

Have you looked to see if you can buy slightly bigger bolts at your local hardware store? As I recall they had different sizes when I had to replace the ones holding the luggage rack in place.
