Default clutch question concerning my truck

installed a new clutch in my truck and after putting the tranny back in along with both driveshaft i have absolutely no resistance in my clutch pedal whatsoever. it is a hydraulic clutch and the only thing i had left to do before i thought the job was done was to bleed the clutch line, but i don't see how that would correct the problem. any insight as to where i could have screwed up? this was my first clutch job that i had attempted myself and i was really pleased that i was able to do it and now it looks like it was a complete waste of time
:(

I don't have much experience with hydraulic clutches but if you put everything back together the same way then it should work. I would say bleed the cylinder and see what happens. If there truly is air in the line it will feel like there is no resistance, just like air in brake lines. Did you change the pressure plate as well?

You have to learn by doing it. It's like we keep saying around here, there are no dumb questions. It's all just a matter of experience and you have to learn sometime.

It looks like we have very similar cars. Mine doesn't have a/c and it has 3.70 gears and the close ratio 4 spd. We differ with the gymkhana suspension and the radio delete. They didn't build many cars without a/c and with a 4 spd in '78.

i've been looking for a radio delete plate ever since i bought the car. this plate has the right part number but it sure doesn't match the bezel at all.

Chevy truck?
The little push rod down by the starter probably didn't get fit exactly into the clutch release fork. There's an inspection cover you can pull to help you guide it into place.
