Default Black Carbon

I am getting black carbon out of my exhaust on the back of my 78. I was wondering if my fuel mixture is too rich and I could adjust the carberetor some way. The carb is a Holley 750.

How many miles on the engine? What do each of the sparkplugs look like?

The condition of the plugs (oil soaked) might be an indication that that intake valve has a leaky seal. This might be the cause of the soot.

I'll take a look at the plugs. Is the intake valve the same as the pcv valve?
