Default Recieved Yoke for tremec - wish I could use it!

Well I got my flat out gorgeous yoke from Mark Williams today - tried to mate it up with the tranney and - no joy - not even close :mad the C-6 rapid release yoke will NOT fit a TR-3550 which is a 28 spline output shaft - it fits the TKO which is a 31 spline output shaft.

My fault. I ordered the wrong one.

So I am back to where I began - where do I get a yoke for this tranny - Mark williams doesnt have a rapid release yoke C4 not C6 for this tranny.

Dagnabbit - this is going to push me back again.

Now I gotta ship it back - wait for a refund - before I can get the new yoke.

Didn't know that the spline count for both transmissions is different...

I knew it was different but I thought you were getting the TKO as the rest of us did.

Have you checked with all of the Tremec suppliers for an applicable piece?

If worst comes to worst you can always get a driveshaft that will telescope. Just a thought , JIM

I've checked with a few and the prices arent far off. I've just become used to consulting the forum first especially if I know there are members who have done what I am planning.

Always willing to learn form other's experiences. Anyway, it was incredibly easy to find out the difference - in fact I did it on the phone while I was talking with the vendor.

I'm holding only myself out on this one, I usually do much more research on things such as this. Anyway, the vendor has already said - send it back we'll give you a full refund so no complaints there - just a bummer on the time delay involved.
