Default So Cal Mountain Cruise II March 1!!!

This time it will be a bit more south starting in the escondido-poway area. Like from Escondido to Julian to Santa Isabel to Palomar. Rocco16 is gonna set the route and lead the pack this time. (I just hope he remembers not all of us are lucky enuff to have LT4's). Hopefully well find some nice lil restaurant in some unsuspecting town along the way for lunch like we did at Idyllwild. (VERY cute waitresses there). And hey Rocco...I still think it was MY blue vette she was saying was so pretty, heh heh heh.

We had a good showing with half and half C4's and C5's last time. Id like to see some representation from the other gens though. The C1-C3 guys arent afraid to push their cars thru the mountain twisty turnies are they? :jester

Hope to see you there!!! :steering:

Escondido-Julian-Palomar-Santa Ysabel is really quite a trip! I would love to be counted in!

My only concern is gas. I'd be stopping at least once for gas with a range of only 120 miles. I live in La Mesa.

120 miles?! Either really bad mileage or a tiny gas tank. My range with a full tank is 450-500 miles. Im sure theres gas stations along the route. Id love to see you come along!

I'm with Paul, I would love to go as long as there are some gas stations along the way. Fuel efficiency wasn't a big factor when building our cars.

OOOPS! Sorry, my mistake. I was thinking of my 22.4 average MPG and 40+ MPG on the freeway in 6th gear using cruise control. :bb :blueangel:

Gas? I think I can arrange some stations along the way! Would like to see some C3/C2's (C1's are just too much to hope for) add a little class to the gathering of C4's and C5's!
I plan on pre-running the route this weekend or the next, just to make sure it's a worthy endeavor and has fuel available... I'll keep you all posted.

I think my Father and I would love to attend this, but the 'vette in not yet ready for long trips. Still unreliable and the suspension (bushings) need serious attention, and to top that off, we still need to put the long block back together (been longer than expected  ). Have fun guys, and please post pics afterwards.

How many C3's we gonna have? Ya know the more that I think of it, the more I think that run could actually be split. Any thoughts on that? A doable run that would only take a couple of hours?
