Default Auto transmission

Hi,
I have a problem with my 79 with a 3 shifted auto trans. Sometimes when engine's hot the shifting stalls/slides sligtly when upshifting. Never happen down shifting or rarely when cold. Checked oil levels when hot everything seemed just fine.
Thanks - Chris, Miami

So it shifts good when you just start the car and go, but when it heats up it doesn't like to upshift/upshifts roughly? Maybe you need a tranny cooler.

Thanks,
It does shift properly but it stalls a bit until the next shift jacks in. Sometimes it happens when cool but mor often when hot.

Check for vacuum leak to modulator. Or the vacuum line may have come disconnected. Or it could be a bad modulator. Not to hard to fix at all. Hopefully its someting simple like this. Poor or no vacuum signal or bad modulator can cause slipping and delayed shifting problems.
