Seems like a interesting car.. Looks like a good deal if they can document the 49000 miles...

I agree. those old odometers hide the 6th digit nicely.
It's hard to tell for sure, but the steering wheel and seat indicate a BIT more than 49k.
It still looks like a decent deal at 10k - if the frame/BC are solid.
Try any find ANY decent vert (not just vette) for much less than that.

That's what I was thinking. There are other things that seem a little odd/off about that car. For example, why no pics with the top down? Also, the right rear wheel seems to be cambered a little weird....I didn't realize you could adjust them so maybe there's a problem. It may also just be a funky camera angle producing an illusion.

If its truely 49000 miles then it sat outside with the top down and hood up for a long time. Also note that carfax cannot document original mileage - all it can do is indicate if it suffers from odometer rollback. Since carfax only returns mileage at sale of the car.......
For example if this car was purchased by its current owner 10 years ago with 30k miles on it - he could drive it to any mileage he wanted - and provided it stayed with that owner - he could then roll the odemeter back to any number above that 30k and it would still come up ok on carfax.
3k max from me

Paint looks very rough, fit and finish are poor. I'd say that whomever did the convertible conversion 'cut corners'... Now, if it was in the same condition as your Duntov BEFORE the accident, I'd say $10k no problem...

Re: Check out this 81 Vert on Ebay... (GrandSportC3)
run, run away fast! aint no way.
just from a real quick look, this is what i see:
non-stock rear bumper
'82 horn button
non-functional computer control (if it's even there)
wrong carb
wrong distributor
no spare tire tub
wrong wheel centercaps
(just a sidenote, wrong tires for the aluminum wheels)
besides that, yeah the emblem is screwy and the paint isn't great and the interior is rough, and what the hell is going on with the rear wheel/body alignment?
