Default Installing new rear bumper

I've never done any body work before. Any tips before I get started? Please include taking off old bumper and replacing. Thanks.

Default Re: Installing new rear bumper (scottw)

Do a search in the archive section. There are many, many posts on this very issue.

I just replaced my rear bumper with an Eckler's "Tru-Flex". Cut the rear bumper off with tin snips and snapped off most of the original retainers.

Used Eckler's multi-piece retainers to replace. Will have body shop do final fitment/painting.

Good luck,
