OK, guys I'll take the hit for the team. If everyone one this forum were to put just one dollar in, I would test this engine out in my vette and give everyone an objective review of its performance.

I'd do it for $.30 per member.

The '03 GMPP catalog lists 9.6:1/620 HP version, too. It is ZZ572/620. If I wasn't so hell-bent on getting this '82 Cross-Fire to run in the 13s,.............650 ft/lb of torque, 3.06:1 first gear, 60-series radials,..... Can you say 'Akron Fall-out'? (Can you say 'Rebuild that 700R4?')

I wonder how someone's gonna FIT that thing in a C3  I don't think that tall deck block and intake will be close to fitting under even an L-88 hood. I'm also wondering why they went tall deck, then built is to only 572? A 632 is the same price, and fits in the same block. Oh well, I guess big is big.

all kidding aside me. i went to the shop yesterday and was told the price will be known this month and the wife said i can get it for my 40th b-day. however, she did say that i would have to get $2000 for the zz4. if i have my way it will be in before the 2003 power tour at the end of may.
Mike

edit:p.s. the picture of the motor has been the wallpaper on my puter for about 4 months

can anybody tell me what is wrong with this picture? ===>

Tominator, the 'o3 GMPP catalog ALSO list a 'ZZ383/425' crate motor, 9.7:1, 425 HP @ 5400/460 ft/lbs @ 4500. Life is INDEED good!!!
