Default 2-1/4" versus 2-1/2"

Will be upgrading mufflers soon from "cherry bomb" turbo's" to "flowtech afterburners". I have headers and H-pipe with 2-1/4" exhaust on approximate 325 HP car. ( My signature needs updating ). My target is torque. Should I stick with the 2-1/4 or step up? What will be the differences in increase of exhaust pipe size. Thanks in advance.

Slightly better top end HP with 2 1/2". Slightly better bottom end TQ with 2 1/4". With yur setup, 2 1/4" would probably serve you better.
