Default What's the secret?

to removing the wiper arm cover on my 71? Will the cover come off the moving arm or does the arm and cover come off as a unit?

ive always found it easier to take the grate part out first i think 6 screws then reach under with the wiper door in the up position and get to the other 4 bolts holding it on.

OK Pat, I figured that much out. What I' m trying to do is get the pop up door off by means other than removing the four small bolts that are onoly accessible from the underside of the pop up door.
Any ideas?

I think that's the only way (short of a torch). If you remove the 2 rear bolts first then you can swivel the panel up and reach the front ones easier. It's not that bad.

Just rebuilt my door. Take the underside bolts out. But first get a heli-coil kit and some penetrating fluid. Mine were age frozen. The soaking worked on all but one. Snapped it off. Drilled it out put in a coil and was good to go. Only took a few minutes.

The 4 bolts are how I took mine off.
