Default A/C line heat protection

What do you think about covering the refrigerant lines to and from the compressor and condensor to keep the lines from absorbing extra heat from the engine. Thinking about Cool-Tube http://www.tognottisautoworld.com/Products/DEI/006.asp (scroll down till you see it.

I have covered mine closest to the engine with foam pipe wrap line you might use to cover exposed pipes, but it doesn't look the best.

Default Re: A/C line heat protection (Larry82)

The cold line should be sealed air tight to prevent condensation. I'll be looking into better looking products as well but I think you'll be limited to a wrapping tape with a foil finish on the outside. But the tape still needs to be flexible a soft so it wraps air tight.
