(OT) Kenwood Subwoofer Help
I decided to put a KSC WA100 powered subwoofer in. Mostly because I got it very cheap. Problem is, it doesn't have the harness, which will cost way more than I payed for the speaker system. Does anyone have this model in their car? If so, would you please tell me what pins are for what? For example.... Top row, Left to Right, Pin 1=12v switched, Pin 2=12V cont., Pin 3=Ground, etc, etc, etc.
I posted this to the electronics/audio forum but recieved no response. Sorry for the Off Topic but I could use some help here!
Thanks

Your best bet is to try to contact Kenwood. They should have customer service that can help you. Just tell them you lost your manual to this item.
Good luck...

Thanks,
I had already checked the website but the only thing they have is a parts manual on-line. No help there.
I called customer service but the people that may be able to help are only open Monday - Friday.

If you are an adventurous sort you could take it apart and probably summize what is going where. My parents hated it when I did that with all my electronic christmas presents. :)

Thanks for the help and info guys.
I ended up tearing it apart, figured out what went were, put it back together, went to Radio Shack for a few supplies and went to it! I can't believe the improvement.
I had to kick my son and daughter out of the car after about an hour playing their CDs in the driveway.

Wayne,
Thanks. In fact, I did call them. They had the part but it was $48.00 plus S&H. Thats nearly double what I payed for the system!
I just bought some female pins and some shrink tubing from Radio Shack for just under $5.00 and wired it myself. Sounds great, and I saved a buck or two!
