Do you tell??
Do you openly share your internal mods with others? I mean down to the last little goodie. Or are you somewhat secretive about it?

No secrets here. I just read articles in mags sometimes and they say that sometimes owners are not fully ouright with everything. Just wondering what the consensus was on here.

I usually ask if the curious one is in law enforcement or not before I even open the hood... But if I can help another Vetter/Rodder in the pursuite of HP then I tell all!!!

Sometimes I lie and tell them its pretty much stock..I'm sneaky like that. It usually works to, except when I pop the hood. Then its

No competiton involved, no money at stake so no need to lie. Besides it feels so good to rip of the list of mods and finish in your best Tim Allen voice doing the "oh oh oh ahh ahh ahhhhh" sound

Never have. Not even my closest friends.
There are others as well like Mountainmotor.
Some have sent their specs. privately when wanting help.
On a good day you can find out- Chevy engines.

Re: Do you tell?? (Jvette73)
When I have something to share I'll share it. I don't care if people know. Hell, all the racers (or ricers...) around here wouldn't know what the hell that funny square looking thing on top of the engine is will all the levers and hoses. They really don't, they asked me in auto class a few years ago when a kid brought in his 7-'s Firebird Formula. "Is that engine carbureted?" Two of them raced my Crown Vic last night... and lost to it. They can't even beat an 18 second car. They revved at me even. When the Vette hits the road this spring with the new motor I just don't know what they will even do. I'll tell anyone every detail, it's up to them to understand it.

I guess I'm in the minority here, I usually keep my mods a secret around my area. The only people I really tell what's done to my motor are my best buds. Down at the track when they have you fill out those forms about your information they also ask what motor....I usually say 305 :). If and when I do have my hood popped and someone knows I have a big block, I usually tell them it's a 396.
