Question about window regulators
My regulators have plastic rollers that ride in tracks. Some rollers are lose and wobble, other are tight and barely rotate. Which is correct. Are the lose ones wore out? Or are the tight ones binding?

IF you take it all apart and soak in a pan with gasoline for a couple of hours you will find the rollers and everything is fairly loose, and will roll just fine...
but you gotta scrub the dried grease from the tracks and such completely....
I never used anything on my tracks when I did my install 7 years ago....work fine today...mostly in Florida sun now when doing that also degrease and rework the motors....and of course the sector gear is famous for rusting out and falling apart....so when you buy new ones....like Yogi Bear someone... you need to heavily paint and grease the new one's so they will never rust again....

Re: Question about window regulators (mrvette)
Thanks for the help. I already used gasoline on the tracks. This is one of those thankless jobs. You have to do all the nasty, hard work, and yet no one ever walks by it and say, "Wow! Great window regulators man. You should be proud."
