Gen. V/VI BB torque specs - need help
I'm trying to wrap things up after swapping cams on my 454HO, and I need to get some torque specs. I never really thought about there being some differences between this motor and the Gen. IV until it was too late. I figure the intake/water pump/oil pan bolt stuff is probably the same, but I need specs for things like the cam retainer bolts, net lash rocker studs, and the rocker retainer that bolts to the bottom of the lifter valley. If anyone can set me up with any info, I'd surely appreciate it. Thanks!

Not sure about your 454 but Gen VI ZZ502 with aluminum heads:
Camshaft retainer bolts - 10 ft-lbs
Rocker arm ball studs - 45 ft-lbs
Lifter guide retainer bolts - 20 ft-lbs
Hope this helps

Re: Gen. V/VI BB torque specs - need help (Rolling Thunder)
Thanks! Not sure about the rocker info. I think the ZZ502 might have adjustable valve lash, and the 454HO has the net lash system. It's just a bolt down through the rocker and ball that get's torqued and has no adjustment for lash. Anyway though, thanks for the other specs, and maybe someone can tell me whether the 45lb. for the rocker stud is for the net lash thing too.
