if you search the archives, this topic pops up every so often, you should be able to find the info you need there.

Indeed he does and they look terrific. I have them as well.
And on this page i even have downloadable instructions with wiring diagrams for 77-78 and later. Difficulty? not particularly, If you can wield a soldering iron youve got it half licked - on a 79 - like my 78 you will need to fab up gauge plates for the speedo and tach - not hard if you own a dremel.

wow! thanx a bunch! thats far more info than i even hoped for! :) :yesnod:
im wondering about the bezel and keeping the stock one...ive seen kits that "cover" it to hold the guages and i dont really like them...
i would like to keep the original bezel look if possible...
will they mount right to it without changing the apearance of the bezel?

I have the Autometer Phantom Gauges.. However - I didn't buy them at this place.. Those prices are way too high.. I bought my Phantom gauges at
http://www.summitracing.com
Olivier
P.S. I posted this vendor link because none of the supporting vendors carries the Phantom gauges.

If you mean the main cluster for the speedo and tach. you will need to do some modifications - the Autometers are deeper than the factory gauge, so you will need to cut out some of the plastic housing that the originals rest in - this is a good reason to get a new one. Also the factory bezel will not allow the gauges to insert without modification - I purchased some scrap acrylic from a local shop and fabricated covers over the two sides of the bezel - leaving the center (idiot light) section exposed. once they were trimmed to the correct size they were epoxied over the old bezel and then the gauges were fittied.
It sounds hard but it really wasnt - just a little time consuming.
