Brass drain plugs-good idea?
I have installed brass drain plugs in my 1973 454 engine. Does anyone know if I will have problems with galvanic action between the brass plugs and the cast iron engine block? Thanks for your input!

Assuming your referring to freeze plugs, all high end machine shops use brass, and all marine motors use brass because the steel plugs corrode. I would only use brass.

Go ahead and use brass plugs, they will come out easier down the road, and they will not corrode like steel. Use brass freeze plugs and water jacket drain plugs.
