Over the hUMp on engine install!
Well it took a long time, there was a lot of prep and cleaning and painting and modifying and installing and everything else, but with the help of Terry Rudy, I finally got my short block (heads are on the way, long story) and TKO installed and last night managed to get the motor mounts and tranny mount dialed in.
At first it appeared that the motor mounts werent going to work, but I loosened everything up, installed all the bolts, let it settle, and everything fell into place.
Terry took some pics of the intall http://www.rudys.net/chrismotor/
I think the next big hurdle will be getting my driveshaft installed. I am a little worried that the X pipe will be in the way and that I wont be able to get it in. We'll see. The slip yoke is on its way and then I will get the stock shaft cut.
Hopefully the heads arrive soon or I will run out of things to work on!
Soon to be :auto:
