Carb base throttle shaft repair
I can't seem to find a local (NorCal) machine shop that can re-bush my Holley 2V base plate off of my 3x2 set-up. Anyone know of an experienced, reputable shop that can do this? I guess I could ship anywhere, but it would be nice to have it done here someplace...

Re: Carb base throttle shaft repair (Wrencher)
My buddy sent his 3X2 to a place in Montana and they came back with all the trick options and improved linkage. I was just wondering if the Carb Shop did those?

Jet Performance Products (www.jetchip.com, 800-736-9275) and Holley also rebuild all makes and models. I know from one advertisement that Jet uses bushings in the base plates where the plates are cracked or leaking.

go to your local hobby shop, I found some brass tubing that was a perfect fit for the throttle shaft, the tubing fit the base plate.
Another option, chicago corvettes sell the base plate assembly, or throttle shaft and base plate seperate...

Talk to these guys. They can do it for you or sell you a kit (reamers and bushings) to do it yourself. And they're not too far away, depending on exactly where in "NorCal" you are... :)

Hans, try emailing Lars or Tom454, either of those guys know carbs, and where to get work done. Seems like Tom helped MELVIN with a 3x2 setup for his 68-427. He might have some suggestions on how to fix or where to fix the carb.
Good Luck!
