Smog pump questions
The smog pump on my car crapped out a long time ago. Took it apart to look into rebuilding it, but it's rusted and doesn't move freely at all. SO I looked into buying a new one, and the resto link on this board sells them for about 100, seems a bit much.. So I was wondering, what other cars could I rip the air pump out of?
Corvettes aren't too easy to come by in the bone yards around here, I was hoping there was anything else with the same air pump in it.

A parts and interchange manual will tell you if any other model GM cars use the same smog pump. Check at Borders or Barnes and Noble, I've seen them on the shelf here locally. I seem to recall that the Vette unit is different, but don't quote me on that.
Give Womble Corvettes down in New Hill a call. Wayne may have one laying around, or he could point you toward a source. 362-7052.

Not sure but believe that the smop pump is very generic (except maybe for the numbers), it is the mounting hardware that is specific.

Re: Smog pump questions (Enkil)
I bought a rebuilt at the local NAPA for $57 with tax. All I had to do was paint the rear cover to match the origional. Dave
