Make sure you tell him about the forum so that we can see her once in a while.
Maybe he'll even post pictures of the fix-up. :)

Way to go Olivier, but I do have a funny feeling that the $ you made will make its way into '68's quest for mid 11's.

There's no way that I will modify the 68' to go mid 11's.. As soon as I will hit 11's I will be banned from the track with my 68... I'm not going to destroy the looks of my Vert by putting a cage into it... That's my final decision on that...

I already have $51k in my 68.. The only things that I'll invest in the 68 will be a new paint job and some $$ on cosmetics..
I will use the money from the Duntov to invest into the stock market..
If my shares will be doing well - I will get a C5..

$1500 redone brake system + emergency brake..(SS Calipers, rotors etc...)
$700 Pace car style seats
$600 Phantom Gauges
$2800 Rear Suspension redone (offset trailing arms/bearing assembly) + labor for removal/install
$300 Composite Spring
$1300 Rear end rebuild (+ new posi unit)
$1500 Front end rebuild (steering + suspension + labor)
$600 Linelock, Spicer U-joints + labor to install
$600 carb (80528 Holley)
$300 Griffin Radiator
$150 stainless steel radiator hose

That's just a small list... There are so many more small things and things that I had to get done twice already....
The last time I added all my receipts up.. I got a little bit below $50k.. Now I had the rear end rebuilt (total cost of $1300...)

Olivier

P.S. Those numbers only add up to 35k.. but I really don't remember all things... I have a big drawer full of receipts... I also purchased some components twice and sold the previous pars for half what I paid for
