..as alot of you know..I have been modifiying my Vette for a couple of years now.

Today (as I was scrolling thru some parts pages).I found a hood that is REALLY radical!!
I know alot of people don't like ''Modded'' Corvettes...but would really like some imput.

Please remember that this is MY Vette...just need to hear how what people think of the hood on MY car BEFORE I decide whether or not to get it.

I don't have any problem with custom Vettes, but that's just a little radical for my taste.... You do what you want to, though. It's your car and the only person you have to please is you. :thumbs:

Best I can do without it getting ''fuzzy''..it is a replica of the ''Corvette Summer'' hood.

Put me down for the 1st YES vote. Wouldn't do it to mine, but I think its a cool hood. Loved the movie. :)

Here's a pic of the original hood in question. Looks like the Ecklers hood isn't quite as high rise as the one in the movie. I'll refrain from additional comment.

Reminds me of Corvette Summer............ :U I don't mind custom Vettes.....hell, mine is far from stock, but there is a point of no return and I think you found it with that hood. Thats my opinion though so if you like it, then get it.

Its not my cup of tea, Personally I'd keep the stinger hood you have!

On mine I'll have stock or L-88 when its done... I think the styling of those two are more suited to my tastes.

You should Photochop your car black, then chop the hood on to see what it looks like.

With the right wheel flare, wheels etc, it might look pretty hot!

Ummm - not sure what you have now, but comments indicate a C3 stinger
hood ? I would stay with the stinger - MUCH better looking and still very :cool: .

:lol:..that sounds like alot more work that I want to do right now.

well I have really wide ZL-1 flares (on the back)..and AR TT2s for wheels..custom nose piece and rear bumper and added the ''gills'' to the top of the fenders..and also a spoiler.

BTW, I've seen the Corvette Summer car in person and it would be sooooo much better in black. Most important of all, do what you want.

I have seen it too....never was much of a fan of ''RED'' but the mods are pretty :cool: .I do like that hood!!!!!!!!

Your car looks so nice & smooth as it is, IMO that hood is just a bit too much. If you like it though go for it !!! :thumbs:
