If you are referring to the same piece that extend as part of the Lower Console piece...Mine are not carpeted...I have had to replace mine as well. Usually you can get those replaced on the C3 Parts for Sale/Wanted section for like $15-20 bucks...Good luck..and happy building!

Re: best place to get "console side trim"??? (SIGNGUY)
Hey Signguy! You can find the "console side trim" pieces at Mid America (Page 3-114, lower left hand side, latest catalog (Cat 133A)) for $29.99 a pair, add your own carpet. Ecklers also has them for $15.99 each side on page 203 (lower left of page) of their catalog (not newest issue so page numbers might be off a little). These are the only catalogs I have here at work. I'll check some more when I get home. I have heard that some vetters have gone to their local home supply store (Lowe's, Home Depot, etc.) and purchased plywood or other suitable stiff board type products and cut their own console pieces using their old ones as a template. I've got to replace mine during an upcoming carpet replacement. I haven't decided on whether to buy new ones ( they are a little fragile if you handle them a lot) or make my own out of a "stiffer" product. Hope this helps some.

thanx LA...i saw those...
when i replace my carpet im going with 80/20 style...like they used in the 60's
i have that cheesey, furry stuff they went to after that
it is for that reason that i would like to find them already done...
you know...beaded edges and all...
maybe the question i should have asked was "wheres the best place to buy carpet?"
and then talk to the apropriate people about doing that for me...
i think i will start another thread asking that...
BTW...the board apears to tempered masonite...
easily purchased at about any building supply store...
being in the sign business, i work with those kind of materials everyday..

I am in the process of restoring my whole interior, and the best interior prices I have found are at Wilcox. (yankeelady.com) Paid less for ACC carpet there than anywhere else. Good Luck
